February is Heart Health Month. Obviously, so many heart decors can be seen everywhere. Not only that, we all celebrated Valentine's day a few days ago. A lot of flowers, gifts, chocolates, etc. were given and received. How sweet, isn't it?

But at the same time, we are reminded. as well, that we should take care of our physical heart and avoid getting it broken. So, I'll be sharing with you how I take care of my own heart and the hearts of the people I love.

5 Heart Health Tips:

1. Check-up

First, go see a doctor and go through lab tests that will give you an idea of the current physical state of your heart. A couple of examples are your blood pressure and cholesterol levels. From there, you will know whether you simply have to keep and maintain a healthy heart or you need to put extra work to get your heart health back to normal.

2. Stay Active

If you're like me who spends pretty much of my working time sitting in front of my PC, you better get up and start moving. Yup, I take quick breaks once in a while, either to get a glass of water, pee break, or simply to get a fresh breath of air outside. Avoid staying sedentary for extended periods of time. So, take a walk or use the stairs whenever and wherever you can.

World Day of the Sick 2016 + 4 Health Tips

Is this your first time to hear about this special day? Me, too! Well, according to Wikipedia, it is a feast day of the Roman Catholic Church which was instituted on May 13, 1992 by Pope John Paul II. It began on on February 11, 1993 and is celebrated every year on the commemoration of Our Lady of Lourdes, as "a special time of prayer and sharing, of offering one's suffering". So let us all take a moment today to think about our fellow men who are sick and offer prayers for them.

After that, I think it is better to talk about health, instead, and how to prevent sickness from happening. We should all commit to make lifestyle choices that will be favorable to our cells for them to stay healthy and fight against diseases and degeneration.

Four Actions For Health :

1. Eat Right
Good health starts with proper nutrition. Nothing could ever replace a meal made from fresh, organic ingredients, prepared the best way that will not reduce its nutritional value. Eat in moderation too! I don't believe in certain food deprivation, as long as there's a good balance of these foods.

2. Exercise Regularly
An active body is a healthy body. There is no need for heavy physical activity, as long as, you're consistent. Rain or shine, you go for a 30-minute run around your neighborhood. Or dance like crazy after jumping out of bed in the morning. You will definitely feel more energized and eventually get the results you want if you're trying to lose weight.
